These paintings are an extension to previous works looking at form, colour and light. In these works I wanted to experiment with a greater intensity of colour. I’m interested in how colours react to each other and I’m trying to find new ways of bringing them together.
Through an introspective process I apply layer upon layer, purposely revealing and concealing information beneath the surface. Soft geometric forms resemble complex architectural constructs whilst also hinting towards elements of nature.
Colour and shape, light and dark culminate in compositions evoking memory of a time and space.
